Feature and Follow: TBR lists

Feature and Follow:
F&F is a weekly blog hop that consists of book bloggers. It is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. The rules of involvement are simple:

1.) Link up on the blog hop at Alison Can Read or Parajunkee, 2.) follow the hosts via their network of choice, 3.) follow the weekly featured blog(s) via their network of choice (listed as "featured" in the blog list below), and lastly, 4) check out the rest of the blogs on the hop! If you become a new follower of a blog, let them know and they will follow you back.

The F&F is a great way to network, meet other book bloggers, and gain new followers. Even more so, it's a great way to drive fun discussion on a weekly topic.

You can follow me via the options to the right!

This week's topic: How many books do you have in your TBR list?

I just went and checked my Goodreads lists.  Technically I have 180, but that's just the books I've managed to enter.  There are more tucked into corners in this house or in my classroom library that should also be added to that list.  I also have a short list of books to read currently.  My summer TBR list has 53 books in it.  Yikes!

How about you?  Is your list manageable?

    1. After posting this, I went through and cleaned out a few of the books that have been on there for years and I will probably never read. If I one day decide I want to read them still, I can always add them back! It only brought me down to 167, though. It's hard to cut them out. :(

    1. The big number didn't really shock me because I've been thinking about my summer to read list for about 2 months now. :) What did end up shocking me was the number of books I have on my summer list. 53! It seems impossible. Well, let's face it. It is impossible. Back in my youth, before kids I could have almost done it, but last summer I only got in about 16 or 17. I might be able to get 20 read if I work my butt off to do so!

    1. Me too! because once school starts back up, my reading time dwindles quickly, especially in the fall. It takes a month or two before I feel like I have an adequate amount of reading time.

    1. How can it stop growing when people keep writing books? I'm okay with this, by the way.

  5. I like your idea of having a seasonal TBR list! What a nice way to whittle down your list without getting too awfully overwhelmed! Old Google+ follower; new Twitter follower! :)

  6. That's a sorta doable list. :) I have a few hundred on mine, but like you, that's just the ones I've managed to compile. Good luck with your reading! 50 something books in one summer is a lot! Haha!

    1. It is. I made the mistake of telling my students that I had that many books on my list. I also told them that it's unreachable and they can check back in with me throughout the summer to see how I'm doing. I'll be happy if I can read 25 this summer. I think that's more reasonable.
