I just pulled together my 2016 TBR and there are already 33 books on it! And it's only the first of January! We all know there are books I'll discover, or just books I'll pick up, or even books that I simply forgot to put into my list.
With all of that I simply had to narrow it down a little. So I made a "Must Read in 2016" list. These are my priority books that I will do my best to finish reading this year. This will change--I'm sure.
So here are
The Art of Racing in the Rain has been on my reading list forever and I figure it's time I fit it in!
I love the idea of Bram Stoker's sister and Sherlock Holmes's niece working together to solve mysteries! I've heard good things, but haven't made it a priority.
This seems like a book that my students would really enjoy reading and I've owned it for a little while, but haven't started it.
I've been eyeing The Good Girl for awhile now. I love the cover. The premise sounds great too.
The Shadow Throne is the last book in the trilogy by Jennifer Neilsen and I would like to know how it ends.
Why haven't I read Crenshaw yet? No idea.
The Rest of Us Just Live Here sounds like an interesting read. I heard about it recently and it just came out in October.
The Thing About Jellyfish sounds heartbreaking. Why do I want to read something so sad? I don't know, but it also sounds like a beautiful idea.
I love Mindy Kaling. She's funny and confidant and I loved her previous book, so why wouldn't I love this one? Why Not Me? has got to be good!
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Can I please say this again? And can I read it again? LOVED An Ember in the Ashes and can't wait the sequel!!!
I may not come out of 2016 with my emotions in tact. I need to know what happened. Now, please. The Rose and the Dagger couldn't get here soon enough.
Ummm... saved from a cult? In a detention center? What? I'm thinking this one might not be a *pleasant* read, but I desperately need to know what The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly is actually about.
This was a last minute addition to my "must read" list, but I just read another review and decided that I couldn't possibly miss the world building that A Court of Thorns and Roses apparently has.
What do you have on your Must Read in 2016 list?
